First, IP itself is a valuable asset
Story is that the L1 chain exists for IP. To understand story, you must first understand IP. IP is a market with huge capacity, including brands, creative works, technical achievements, etc. Specifically, it can be a song, a game, a brand, a technology patent, or it can be MEME or AI training data that is common in the encryption field, etc.
That is, IP is an asset type. As long as it is an asset, there are needs for asset issuance and asset trading. This opens up the application scenarios of IP. This can be combined with DeFi and AI agent. This is described later.
Second, there are essential differences between off-chain and on-chain IP assets. The IP on the chain is programmable, allowing IP owners to control the IP, own the IP, and earn income through the IP.
The significance of Story to IP assets
Because IP is an asset, the scenarios that can be implemented off-chain are not as good as on-chain, especially in terms of asset liquidity. On the chain, IP owners can not only have control rights, but also realize more benefits through the market. This is also the source of Stroy's importance to IP assets. For Story, there are two IP markets, one is the on-chain market for off-chain IP assets, similar to RWA; the other is the on-chain IP market for the issuance, trading and management of on-chain IP assets.
The market economy between Story and AI agent
Story combines many aspects with AI. These include: becoming important training data, with benefits shared by multiple parties; AI agents generating on-chain IP assets; AI agents can utilize Story’s on-chain IP assets; commercial transactions between AI agents (trading training data, creative works, etc.). That is to form an on-chain market that combines IP and AI agents.
The most important reason why Stroy and AI agent can be combined is the uniqueness of IP. Uniqueness is similar to DNA. This is a good combination for AI agents and model training.
As mentioned before, the cooperation between Stroy and Stabiltiy is a win-win for both parties. From the Story perspective, Stability's AI model can be used to provide creators (including artists and developers, etc.) with a measurable contribution model. For example, one use case is to register an artist's unique style (writer, painter, musician, etc.) as transparently usable IP data that can become training data. For Stability, Story's IP data is used to fine-tune and train its model. Once this cooperation generates revenue, for example, when creators use these IP data for training and fine-tuning, all participants can benefit.
Story wants to launch TCP/IP for AI agents with the purpose of building a trading market between AI agents. This is the key for Story to try to maximize the characteristics of its IP, and it is also an important step in determining what capacity its future market size can achieve.
Judging from Story's current disclosure, its TCP/IP is a framework that supports mutual IP transactions between agents. Agents can trade training data, creative styles, investment strategies, etc. with each other. Story plans to integrate ai16z's Eliza and Virtual's GAME framework, etc. It is estimated that swarms, arc, etc. will also be integrated in the future. The main purpose is to allow all Agents to trade IP assets with each other.
For example, a human user or organization initiates a creative request to an Agent with a certain music style (unique IP) and places an order. Based on the customer's needs, the AI agent decided to request other music style (unique IP) agents to purchase IP for fusion to generate new music styles (new IP), and finally submitted the work to the customer. This is not only interaction between humans and AI agents, but also transactions between AI agents.
A variety of interactions and transactions will be formed here, forming a market full of IP innovative assets. In addition, story hired AI agent LUNA as its promotion intern and is expected to pay a salary of more than $300,000. This also demonstrates the scenario of transactions between Stroy's AI Agents.
Since countless AI agents will be generated on the chain in the future, these AI Agents will need to interact and trade with each other. AI Agents' transactions often include IP. Story is targeting this market and can manage a large number of IPs through its TCP/IP framework. AI agents can interact and trade without trust or intermediary, thus promoting the prosperity of the trading market between AI agents.
In general, the future is an era of proliferation of AI agents, and there is a need for transactions between AI agents. The framework of Story is to help these AI agents realize IP interaction and transactions, thereby creating a new on-chain economy. . The ultimate success depends mainly on the total scale of IP transactions between AI agents relying on Story.
