Mr. Mai’s MEME road: After 5 minutes of earning 100 times the profit, he

became addicted to MEME

Before he came into contact with Crypto, Mr. Mai followed a very "orthodox" financial path: studying finance in college, working as a banker on the sell-side after graduation, and then on the buy-side. On the buyer side, what he was looking at was the enterprise service track. At that time, many blockchain founders wanted to do BAAS, which is Blockchain as a Service. It was through this opportunity that he saw this new technology.

By 2021, Mr. Mai officially came to the Crypto industry, and what he did was to manage some secondary positions for some bosses in the traditional financial industry, mainly Bitcoin. From that time on, he began to spend a lot of time studying new things every day and looking for Alpha.

As for the Alpha of this cycle, Mr. Mai firmly believes that it is MEME, so he now spends 60% or even 70% of his personal time on MEME, and bosses from various CX traditional financial industries come in to play together.

Addiction to MEME comes from a transaction that earns 100 times the profit in 5 minutes.

At that time, the market was speculating on Musk's signature, and both Longyi TROLL and Longer ZUZALU had some positions. So which coin will become Longsan? Mr. Mai and his friends felt that V God’s signature might have room for speculation, so they bought TCATI (Green Tea) with a market value of more than 20,000, a cat-themed MEME, which came from the profile signature in V God’s X account.

About five minutes after buying it, the coin suddenly surged to a market value of about one to two million dollars, and the position of a few hundred dollars instantly turned into thirty to forty thousand dollars.

This is actually the first time that Mr. Mai has come into contact with MEME. Although he only spent a hundred times the profit on a single investment, this trading experience made him feel, "MEME is really fun."

Then he began to spend more time studying MEME, understanding MEME, trading MEME, and gradually developed his own trading strategy.

Why is the strong banker game more fun?

PVP is a typical game where there is no mutual achievement. What everyone competes with is who can discover a hot spot first, or who can create a hot spot, get the bottom chips, and then cover everyone when they think they are in a high position. , make money and leave.

The banker market is actually a game where retail investors and bankers achieve mutual success. In the life cycle of a MEME, if Zhuang wants to push up the market value, if he wants to be listed on Binance, he needs to use his funds to find Caller, to attract funds, launder funds, pull orders, create advertising/news, and promote Hotspot.

If a banker is very good at doing these things, it means that he is good at narrative, has a large amount of funds, and has various relationships with callers and exchanges. Then this matter is very important to retail investors and bankers. It's a win-win situation.

So how to judge whether a market is a banker market?

Mr. Mai gave an angle: observe whether the wallet has deliberate washing behavior, that is, maintaining a price range for the same target and quickly buying and selling within a few seconds. The purposes of Zhuang Wash wallet include:

  1. Can be marked as a new wallet by tool vendors such as GMGN
  2. Spread the chips and prepare for the pull.

However, as tool dealers reveal more and more information, the methods used by bankers are also constantly changing, but this is good news for retail investors, because bankers need to collect chips and spend more time preparing for the pull. , so that retail investors can have more time to find which ones are awesome dealers.

How does the banker on Solana trade a MEME?

Early stage: Collection in the internal market, launch on Pump

  • Because of the "anti-banker" sentiment in the market after NEIRO, the banker would hide himself in the early stage, making MEME a so-called project started by the community, and began to collect funds in the process.
  • During the process of collecting funds in the internal market, the biggest enemy of the banker is the Bot. Now there are many Bots that check the volume of the internal market of Pump. Once they find the purchase of a new wallet (5-10 SOL), they will immediately follow up.
  • When enough chips are collected, usually above 75%, they will be launched on the Pump.

Mid-term: push volume in rounds

  • Wave 1: Start. Find some Tier 3 and Tier 2 callers, and ask your own market makers to cooperate. The market value will reach the range of 5 million to 20 million, and then quickly sell the market.
  • The second wave: explosive pull. The funds collected by Deploy in the first wave of market smashing are usually all the funds, which are used to make the market. At the same time, they find Tier1 callers to place orders, and they are pulled away in a wave, so that no one can get cheaper chips.

Later stage: listing on the exchange

  • Whether you can be listed on the exchange or Binance actually depends on your fate, and the banker also depends on your fate. If successfully listed on the exchange, the liquidity valve will be opened, and subsequent trading will be consistent with the second level.
  • Market making after listing on the exchange is most often operated by wintermute.

The two MEMEs BAN and AI16Z are very typical "bankers": the bankers spent a very long time collecting funds in the early stage, made the first big wave of promotion, and then smashed down to get enough funds for subsequent market making. At the same time, collect chips at the bottom, and the second wave will directly pull away.

How to get on the car and force the market?

There are two strategies:

The first one is to buy after the first wave ends and before the second wave rises.

At this stage, the banker continues to accumulate funds at the bottom. If traces of their accumulation of funds are found (mainly by observing the wallet), they can follow up and buy.

Second, after the second wave starts, chase decisively.

At this stage, the banker will most likely find a Tier 1 caller to cooperate with the funds saved from the first wave of market crashes to quickly push up the market value and seek to get listed. Under normal circumstances, once the second wave starts, the real strong bankers will rarely let the currency price pull back a little to let retail investors get on board. Therefore, if you observe that the second wave has started and has exceeded the first wave, you can chase the high and buy.

Use the logic of short videos to understand MEME

When I was talking about MEME as a #dialogue trader with Zepump in May, he mentioned a point of view, that is, MEME is to VC coins, just like short videos are to long videos. Mr. Mai also very much recognized this logic and started from the "hierarchy of needs" " and "evolution path" illustrate the "commonality" between short videos and MEME.

Let’s talk about the hierarchy of needs first.

Why are people, especially those born after 00, willing to read short videos and MEME every day? Because they all satisfy the lowest desires in their hearts:

  • Short videos satisfy lust and so-called "laziness". Because young people have fragmented time and little entertainment time, they can only obtain very short-term happiness through TikTok.
  • MEME satisfies greed. Today's young people generally feel that the threshold for a jump in wealth is too high, so they all want to take a gamble (get rich suddenly).

Let’s talk about the evolution path.

  • At the beginning, short videos were mainly UGC, content produced by users themselves, but later you will find that no one is watching UGC anymore, everyone is watching PGC, because the quality of PGC is better.
  • In MEME, everyone was a very ignorant CTO pair at the beginning, but later found out that the bank market was more fun, and the bank market pulled high because they were essentially strong in operations and had relatively strong financial strength.

In the final analysis, short videos and MEME are both very attention-economy markets.

In the MEME super cycle, which coin will become the “new king”?

Mr. Mai firmly believes that MEME has definitely been a long-term thing. Let's look back at today two years later. Most of the MEMEs in this market may have disappeared. There will definitely be more MEMEs that can last for a long time, and there will definitely be one more powerful than SHIB. An awesome MEME, and this MEME is most likely already on the market.

Which coin is likely to become this “new king”?

First: $DOGE

The real leader of the MEME track, the “BTC” in MEME, there is a high probability that DOGE will become an ETF after Trump takes office.

Second: $PEPE

What makes PEPE awesome is that on the one hand, it is early, and on the other hand, its logic is difficult for many Chinese to understand. In fact, the disks released on Ethereum are basically derivatives of PEPE, and this has become a consensus. In the current cycle of MEME, it is difficult to find one as strong as the PEPE consensus.

Third: $WIF

Fourth: $POPCAT

$WIF VS $POPCAT, Mr. Mai is more optimistic about the latter. In fact, there is a particularly interesting point between WIF and POPCAT: although WIF is twice the market value of POPCAT, their pools are the same.

Nowadays, there are fewer people in foreign communities talking about WIF with the Caller of the Cabal, and their attention has shifted to POPCAT, which may also mean the choice of capital.

If you want to play MEME well, which Callers should you follow?

foreign:

Murad @MustStopMurad, Crash @CrashiusClay69, Mitch @idrawline, OverDose@Overdose_AI, Moneylord @moneyl0rd, Ansem @blknoiz06, Spidercrypto@SpiderCrypto0x

Chinese area:

First: Wizard @0xcryptowizard

The Wizard is a Builder, and following him makes me feel more stable because he continues to build, and the projects he builds are all from very good angles.

Second one: magnolia @0xmagnolia

Sister Hat has written a lot of useful content to teach you how to find MEME and how to win in this game. Moreover, Hat Girl is often very good at catching hot spots, so she can be used as a good reference for where the hot spots are and where the sustainability may be.

Third: Timo @timotimoqi

Timo is a real-life friend of Mr. Mai. They were both investors in the past, so their trading perspectives may be relatively similar. The tweet about 8 questions you need to ask yourself before buying MEME comes from Timo 👉 https://x.com/timotimoqi/status/1847147614963486730

Timo may have called on five or six projects recently, three of which have doubled in value.

Finally, I want to say that Caller has a problem, that is, he may have been good one month ago, but he may not be good one month later. For example, POE, his previous posts were very good. After it became popular more than a month ago, he started calling various rug plates to cut leeks.

Although you don’t know what is going on behind the scenes, the lesson is: to see Caller, you must look at it as a whole, and look at it comprehensively. Still analogous to short videos, he is just a person who recommends videos to you, not the person who asks you to like them. The right to like them still needs to be in your own hands.

write at the end

I think the core of playing MEME is to find the stage and transaction method within your own capabilities. In fact, no matter when you enter the market, you can always find your own opportunities in MEME. This is the most interesting thing about MEME in this cycle.
