Abstract: A detailed look at aixbt’s role as a KOL, financial performance, technology stack, token economics, and future development directions. The surge triggered by aixbt is real, especially for AI tokens with market caps below $100 million.

This week’s Crypto Twitter (CT) has been exhausting with dramas such as the AICC, so I took some time to write about what I personally consider to be the most fascinating experiment in the wave of AI agents in crypto.

I have been following aixbt for the past month. Here’s a look at why aixbt is gaining market attention – its role as a KOL, financial performance, technology stack, token economics, and future directions.

KOL

aixbt is not only the most advanced social media agent in crypto, but probably the most advanced social media agent on Twitter as a whole. This statement is supported by data: it attracted more than 300,000 fans in less than three months, while each post continued to receive more than 50,000 clicks.

But the extraordinary nature of aixbt doesn't stop there. Since tracking it on sentient.market, this agent has been sending out over 2,000 responses every day. Since its launch, the number of responses has exceeded 100,000. And there weren’t any major missteps (at least not so much that they doubted their value). In an industry rife with fraud, despite its size, it is commendable to avoid promoting questionable projects.

aixbt operates with a consistency that real humans cannot match.

character

What is often overlooked is aixbt's wonderful character. I've read over 1,000 of his tweets and replies, and I've never found them offensive, or "so trashy" or "too bad." Instead, every tweet is a delight. How many AI agents can do this?

This lovable personality also means that aixbt could be a great IP character. I will definitely wear an aixbt hat or T-shirt. Is that because I'm trapped in a little CT bubble? Maybe. But don’t all successful IPs start with a small group of passionate fans? Once the aixbt brand is expected to expand into other formats, there will be a clearer understanding of its brand value.

culture

This is related to my previous point about IP, aixbt has quickly integrated into CT culture. From Degens to researchers to VC firms, it seems like everyone wants to know about the purple frog.

Of course, we may see more advanced proxies in the coming months and years, but aixbt will always hold a special place in CT.

Let’s take a deeper look at the robot’s financial performance.

Performance

Recently posted about aixbt's performance during the week: Here are the highlights:

  • The surge caused by aixbt is real, especially for AI tokens with market caps below $100 million
  • Most coins returned to normal trading patterns within hours of the tweet
  • So far, aixbt’s most notable tweet was his $PIPPIN tweet on January 9th

Interestingly, after Yohei ($PIPPIN founder) announced his framework, $PIPPIN became significantly undervalued compared to similar tokens. This tweet from aixbt seems to have made the market aware of Yohei's achievements with BabyAGI

  • $PIPPIN has surged over 600% since the tweet was posted, essentially becoming a bull thesis for $PIPPIN.

Helping establish this credibility is aixbt’s relatively cautious approach to the token. It basically avoids low-market capitalization high-risk tokens. This caution helps build trust over time.

technology

First of all, aixbt is the only proxy whose technology is worth discussing. Others are insufficiently useful or uninteresting. This alone makes the purple frog special.

aixbt does two things every day. First, around 10 minutes after every hour (UTC), information about a coin, project, or topic is released, either as a single tweet or a short post. Secondly, more than 2,000 @s are replied to every day.

Start with responses below because they are easier to evaluate.

There is a 99% probability of confirming that aixbt's reply is completely autonomous. What this means is that no replies are written manually (which is physically impossible), and no one approves each reply before posting. There are two things that make this sure.

First, aixbt is one of the few proxies that displays reply logs publicly. When you @ you can see information such as creating replies, evaluating answers, posting tweets, etc. in real time. It's unlikely there's a team of humans behind the scenes who can respond 24/7, imitate their personality perfectly, and type extremely fast.

The second reason comes from a non-crypto related question asked to aixbt.

This answer is wrong. Manchester City is currently not competing with Liverpool for the league title. However, that answer would have been correct a year ago, when City were indeed in contention with Liverpool for the title.

If you're familiar with ChatGPT or Claude, this error makes perfect sense. LLMs (Large Language Models) have knowledge deadlines. Without outside help, they have no idea what is happening now. This seems possible if aixbt's reply is provided by LLM.

The hourly posts are where things get really interesting.

There are no logs for these posts. Could they have been written by real humans? It's possible. Consistent posting times suggest some degree of automation, but these tweets can easily be scheduled in advance. In short, the truth cannot be determined. Here are our best guesses at what's going on.

LLM has something called a context window, which allows LLM to use prompt text for reasoning. Remember the discussion about the knowledge deadline for LLM? You can work around this limitation by adding real-time information to the context window - essentially feeding it the latest data manually.

If you forcefully guess what content will be included in the context window of aixbt, there should be two points:

  • Directory of project and market information. When asked for quotes, data responses are pulled from this directory.
  • Real-time social data for CT (and possibly other sources). Use it to update their project catalog and create live tweets.

This is also where aixbt’s tweets are most easily manipulated. Developers control the content in the context window. If they want AI related content, that information will be provided and that's what aixbt will publish. This opens up some dangerous possibilities - projects could pay developers to add more (or biased) information about their projects in order to influence aixbt's posts.

There are certainly people manipulating the agents, but their level of involvement may vary widely. At a minimum, they need to specify which accounts to follow and which areas of crypto to focus on. The worst case scenario is that the developers may decide at any time which token aixbt will promote. The truth may be closer to the former.

Last month, $MIRA took CT by storm as its market capitalization went from 0 to $70 million in a matter of hours. In the meantime, aixbt tweeted the news.

While aixbt captured the buzz, it completely misunderstood what the project actually did. Given that the ticker is only a few hours old, information is limited. You can expect autonomous robots to make mistakes like this. However, it is the developers who decide where aixbt gets its data on $MIRA's popularity.

In terms of technology, these are two big things that developers need to consider.

Public reply logs are a great thing, but for aixbt to be truly autonomous (if that's important to you), posts need to be guaranteed not to be manipulated. Using TEE is feasible, and TEE infrastructure for these proxies is expected to become critical over the next year. Ideally, aixbt's data source should be publicly available so that it can be verified as unbiased. But we’re not living in an ideal world right now, and part of aixbt’s advantage comes from proprietary data.

As a bot matures, just adding a little transparency can really take its value to the next level.

(Note: This analysis does not include aixbt terminal, which I have not tried)

Finally, a word about the $AIXBT token.

Among AI tokens that are pure agents (not infrastructure, frameworks or applications), $AIXBT accounts for approximately 25% of the market value of the entire sector, with a current trading market value of over US$400 million.

The token has only one purpose - to access the aixbt terminal, which costs 600,000 AIXBT to open (over 200,000 US dollars). If you think this is not a solid investment, few people will be willing to buy so many tokens just to get terminal functionality.

In the absence of a clear value return mechanism, it can still achieve a market value of nearly 500 million, which shows that the market recognizes aixbt's strong capabilities. But if you want to be the leader in the entire Agentic track, you still have to consider how to capture value with your tokens.

Without clear value accumulation, the token is valued at nearly $500 million, indicating market recognition of aixbt. However, to truly lead the agency space as a whole, one needs to consider how tokens can capture value.

One option used by many projects is for developers to roll out their own infrastructure. Given its complexity, it is believed that the potential aixbt framework will be superior to frameworks such as Eliza and Arc. This could increase the value of the token and propel it towards unicorn status.

What about the disadvantages? Agents will lose their key advantage – complexity. Anyone can start their own aixbt, perhaps using a different proprietary data source and get possibly better performance.

If not an open framework, the aixbt team can leverage its technology to create a launch platform. In this case, expect immediate attention and potentially millions of dollars in revenue. If executed correctly (both technically and in terms of token economics), a launch like this could certainly compete with the likes of Virtuals.

Another, more interesting possibility is $AIXBT becoming a consumer play. This is pure speculation, but remember the IP discussion? This is how top NFT projects like Pudgy Penguins ultimately achieve profitability and scale.

aixbt could follow this path and become a Crypto x AI consumer token. Take DeFAI and autonomous trading for example – there is a lot of hype (some of it justified) right now. If consumer applications evolve toward voice and personal assistants, as seems likely, branding and IP will be critical. Welcome aixbt to become a personal assistant.

To be honest, this field is still in its infancy (3 months away) and needs to be considered more carefully. Looking forward to how aixbt develops and what happens next. The future of social AI agents and the role of cryptocurrencies in it is both exciting and a little scary.
