Democratic lawmakers pressurize Treasury Department to stop Trump's Bitcoin reserve plan

Gerald Connolly, a senior Democratic Rep. of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Government Oversight and Reform, wrote a letter to the Treasury Department, demanding that the Trump administration stop its plan to establish a national Bitcoin reserve, accusing it of "obvious conflict of interest." Connolly pointed out that Trump's push for the plan without Congress' approval may benefit his individuals and allies, while also harming the interests of U.S. taxpayers.
