02/09/2025·2days agoPANews reported on February 9 that according to FT, more than 700 altcoins and junk coins have been sent to Trump's digital wallet within three weeks after Trump launched the Meme coin. There are 736 different memecoins in Trump's official wallet. Among them, nearly 200 memecoins, including "OFFICIAL TRUMP" and "OFFICIAL MELANIA", are named after Trump or his family, but have nothing to do with the president.
Of the 192 tokens named after Trump or his family, 167 are altcoins, and 67 use the term "official" in their names. There are 35 tokens with the words "Elon" or "Musk" in their names, which obviously refer to Tesla's CEO and Trump's allies. Unauthorized tokens are also targeted at Trump’s children: 30 mentions Barron, 26 mentions Ivanka, and 10 mentions Eric. Eswar Prasad, senior fellow at Brookings Institution, said Trump’s intrusion into Meme coins “opens the floodgates of deception and rampant speculation” and that buying meme coins “only puts them at huge risks.”
