Bezos’s space career finally takes pride of place.
On January 16, Blue Origin, a space technology company owned by Bezos, announced that the "New Glenn" heavy-lift launch vehicle was ignited and lifted off for its first flight. If the rocket goes well, it will become a powerful challenger to Musk's SpaceX.
Musk generously sent his blessings on the X platform: "Congratulations to @jeff Bezos for getting into orbit on the first try. The team did a great job!"
And he did not forget to make trouble for the relationship between the two people as "enemy and friend":
"Step Brothers is the perfect meme for Bezos and I" (the accompanying GIF shows the two protagonists declaring they have become "best friends").
Step Brothers is an American family comedy film that tells the story of Brennan and Dale, who are forced to become brothers when their parents remarry. The two people living under the same roof go from mutual hostility to best partners.
Musk also retweeted a photo of a dinner he and Bezos had together more than a decade ago, where the two reportedly discussed their ambitions for the space industry, including the idea of reusable rockets. (Unexpectedly, SpaceX later developed so much that Blue Origin was knocked out of the game.)
Musk wrote: "Wow, a lot has happened in 21 years!" (So young in the photo)
The crypto community doesn’t let any meme go unnoticed.
Soon, a token of the same name inspired by this Step Brothers (SB) appeared on pump.fun, but the market value has not yet risen, and as of press time, it is less than 10,000 US dollars.
They are fierce rivals and will be "in the same frame" at Trump's inauguration
It is reported that on January 20, Musk, Bezos, and Zuckerberg will "rarely share the same frame" at Trump's inauguration. According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk ranks first, and Bezos ranks first. Ranked second, Zuckerberg ranked third. According to reports, the three will sit in "prominent positions" during the ceremony, sitting on the stage with other high-profile guests, including Trump's cabinet nominees and some officials.
In addition to being rivals in business competition, the political stances of these people have not been completely consistent over the years.
In November last year, Musk bombarded Bezos on Tesla and SpaceX stock.”
Hours later, Bezos responded that the claim was "100% untrue."
In addition, during last year's election, Bezos's "Washington Post" published an editorial announcing that for the first time in more than 30 years, it would "not take sides in the election" and would not endorse Harris. Many people in the outside world thought that his "kneeling" was too obvious.
However, behind any decision are the huge interests considerations faced by the respective companies. Whether it is the antitrust lawsuit that Meta is about to face or the game between Amazon and SpaceX on government contracts, business leaders have to show their favor to the new government in order to obtain a more friendly policy environment.
