04/11/2025·18DPANews reported on April 11 that the State Council’s Tariff Commission announced that the tariff rate on imported goods originating from the United States will be increased from 84% to 125% from April 12, 2025. This adjustment is based on relevant Chinese laws and regulations and basic principles of international law and is approved by the State Council.
The committee pointed out that even if the US continues to impose tariffs, it will no longer have economic significance and will become a joke in the history of the world's economics. Under the current tariff level, there is no possibility of market acceptance of goods imported from the United States. If the US continues to play the tariff digital game, China will ignore it, but if the US insists on substantively infringing on China's interests, China will resolutely counter and stay with it to the end. Other related matters will continue to be implemented in accordance with the previous announcement.
