Slow Mist: Wang Xing was defrauded and the screenshots of crypto transactions related to the Myanmar incident were forged.

PANews reported on January 13 that the SlowMist security team issued a statement stating that the recent incident of actor Wang Xing being deceived into Myanmar has attracted widespread attention. They conducted an investigation into the screenshots of chat records circulated on social media. The screenshots mentioned that Wang Xing has been deceived. "Get on the bus" and ask for a security fee of 14,000 USDT, with a cryptocurrency address attached. An investigation by the SlowMist security team revealed that the chat screenshot was forged and not directly related to the Wang Xing deception incident.

SlowMist analyzed the cryptocurrency address (TAiv3gxSGkf7x...gAB6FU4XV5HPn) in the screenshot. This address has received a total of 2.22 million USDT since September 2024, and the most recent transaction occurred on January 12, 2025. According to the timeline announced by Thailand's Tak Province Immigration Bureau on January 7, Wang Xing entered Thailand at 3:16 a.m. on January 3, local time (Thailand time UTC+7), and left Suvarnabhumi by car at 3:40 Airport, and then lost contact around 11 o'clock. After analyzing the transactions of this address before and after Wang Xing lost contact, no income transactions related to 14,000 USDT were found. Looking back at the initial screenshot, the chat time was shown as 02:46, while the picture time was shown as 19:46, which is inconsistent with the time. It was further confirmed that the screenshot was fake.
