04/11/2025·18DPANews reported on April 11 that according to The Block, U.S. prosecutors said that although the Department of Justice (DOJ) recently issued an internal memorandum to relax the enforcement standards for crypto companies, it will not modify existing allegations against Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon. The memorandum was signed by Deputy Secretary Todd Blanche, requiring that criminal prosecutions of crypto exchanges, currency mixing services and other companies be suspended except in special circumstances, and said that the relevant regulatory work should be under the responsibility of the Trump administration's regulatory agencies. Do Kwon is currently charged with multiple charges of commodity fraud, securities fraud, wire fraud and co-conspiracy to launder money. If found guilty, he can face up to 130 years in prison. The court has extended the trial date from January 26, 2026 to February 17, 2026, and the next pre-trial meeting is scheduled to be held on June 12, 2025.
